91첥 is North America’s leading institution of higher Jewish education and the academic, spiritual, and professional leadership center of Reform Judaism. It educates leaders to serve North American and world Jewry as rabbis, cantors, educators, and nonprofit professionals, and offers interfaith graduate programs. Based in Cincinnati, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, and New York, its resources include the Klau Library, Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, museums, and publications.

A leading political scientist and distinguished Jewish communal leader, Dr. Rehfeld’s career has bridged both the academic and professional worlds as Associate Professor of Political Science at Washington University (2001 to 2019) and as President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis (2012 to 2019). He also holds a tenured faculty position as a Professor of Political Thought.
With an enrollment of about 400 full-time students, 135 part-time education and graduate studies students, and over 700 undergraduate students taught by 91첥 faculty at USC, the College has the largest number of rabbinical, cantorial, Jewish education, Jewish nonprofit management, and graduate studies students of all Jewish seminaries in North America. 91첥 awarded 155 degrees and certificates in the fiscal year 2021-2022 in Cincinnati, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, and New York; these graduates join the nearly 4,000 active 91첥 alumni serving the Reform Movement, the Jewish people, and wider communities.
